1. The Funfair Mile

Bray Seafront
12th March – 20th March: Open from 12pm-10pm every day

The Golden Mile will again spread along Bray’s Seafront, everyone’s favourite rides will be ready to spin, throw and drop you till you feel your stomach turn! Of course there will be the kiddie rides and the Carousel for those of you who prefer the more relaxed rides. Keep an eye out in the local papers for discount coupons!!!

2. Windows On The World

Shop fronts, Bray Main Shopping Streets
14th March – 20th March

After the success of last year’s beautifully decorated shop fronts, The Windows On The World competition will return, 12 local schools will take on the project in conjunction with Bray Lions Club and Ambassadors from the selected countries to light up Bray town with their imaginative displays.

3. St. Patrick’s Eve Music Fest

The Martello, Bray Seafront
Wednesday 16th March 8pm

Three Local Bands from Bray who Include The Caoimhe Duane Band, Gypsy Rebel Rabble and the Wyvern Lingos will perform. Special guests will include Rochdale Boomerang, from the UK and Kathy McCarra World Irish Dancing Champion. MC for the night will be the hilarious Adam Burke from the Hardy Har Comedy Club. This promises to be an excellent showcase of local talent so come along to support your favourite band and enjoy the craic.

4.St. Patrick’s Day Events

Pre Parade Party
Civic Centre, Bray Main Street, St. Patrick’s Day - 1pm

First come first served! Come along early to get the best viewing position on the Main Street – Live traditional music and Aravon School Concert Band will be broadcast all over the parade route. So, no matter where you are you are sure to be entertained!

Festival Parade & Mermaid Street Spectacular
St. Patricks Day
- 3pm (Starts Bray Town Hall)

One of the largest Parades on the east coast with over 70 plus groups and up to 1500 participants – they will be ready to march, dance, sing and perform their way to the reviewing stand (outside Jackie O’Driscolls). This year’s special performances to watch out for are the visiting 25 piece marching band from the UK, Rochdale Boomerang and once again follow Artastic and the Mermaid on a “topsy turvey world” where nothing is quite as it seems and strangely magical characters are simply the ‘norm’. This is a feast for your eyes. Who will be this year's winner??? Join East Coast FM’s Rob G on the Main Street stage and the parade's host FM 104’s Adrian Kennedy to find out.

Festival Grand Marshals

This year’s Grand Marshal’s are, Anne-Marie Holland, who won the Person of the Year Award for her work on the ‘Shop Local’ campaign and students from 3 local language schools, ATC Language, Pace Institute and The Language & Business College. The students have been chosen for their ongoing contribution to our community.

Céilí Mór
Bandstand, St. Patrick’s Day 4pm-6pm

Live traditional music on the bandstand with Ceoil Tursa Chearta followed by Irish Dancing from The Pauline Fagan School of Dance. Our visiting marching 25 piece band from the UK - Rochdale Boomerang will finish the evening with a magical big band sound.

5. The Boathouse Céilí Breakfast

Southbeach Carpark
Sun 13th & Sun 20th, 11am

Fast becoming a favourite event for the entire family. Bring the kids along for a fun crash course on Irish Dancing, after they have tired themselves out they will be treated to a small breakfast roll and drink compliments of The Boathouse Coffee Dock.

6. The Trail of St. Patrick

Holland’s, Bray Main Street
Friday 18th and Saturday 19th March 8pm (Strictly over 18’s only)

A walking tour of humour and historical importance of Bray Main Street. Meet our special guide, 'The Racker' Donnelly in Holland's, visit his favourite spots and meet some of his famous auld friends along the way. The tour will take approximately 1 hour so please wear comfortable shoes.

7. Giant Outdoor LED Rugby Screen

The Bandstand, Bray Seafront
Saturday 19th March From 2pm


Italy v Scotland and the big one...
Ireland V England! Sit on the grass or enjoy some food and drink in the local pubs whilst watching these two rival teams go head to head in the last game of the six nations. These are matches made to be watched on The Giant Screen!

8. The Leprechaun Dash

Civic Centre to the Seafront
Saturday 19th March 2pm

Please join us in a fancy dress fun run from the Civic Centre to the bandstand in aid of The Bray Cancer Support Centre. Leprechaun costumes will be provided on the day.
